You work hard, life is busy. It’s time for you to take time out.

Relax, unwind and let the stresses of 21st century life dissolve away. Enjoy a car-free break away from it all with as much walking as you want to do in the Vale of Pewsey.

Stay for a day, a weekend or longer. Let the tranquility, timelessness, history and beauty of the Pewsey Vale work its magic on your health and wellbeing. Walking is good for you physically, and proven to increase energy and positive mood.

Getting here is easy. We have two mainline stations in the Vale of Pewsey – one in Bedwyn (in the village of Great Bedwyn) and the other in Pewsey village – and both are only just over an hour from Paddington. The train services are provided by GWR and you can book tickets below.

Arrive relaxed without driving. Step straight out from either station and lose your cares as you follow one of our beautiful walks. Challenge yourself with a longer distance walk, or walk, talk and treat yourself at a country pub or cafe, and time with family and friends.

We’ve made it even easier for you with plenty of route suggestions below. Plan your next escape by downloading a leaflet now. If you would like us to send you the printed leaflets, then just email us.

Need somewhere to stay? Then have a look here at our accommodation partners.

Don’t worry about how you’ll get around once you are here, many accommodation partners will pick you up from the station and drop you back and we also have taxis available if needed. For really flexible, low-cost travel, use the Wiltshire Connect on-demand bus service which connects the villages across the Vale with Devizes, Marlborough, Pewsey and Hungerford. Book your journey via the app or by calling 01225 712900 – the buses can meet trains, or take you to where you are staying, or take you to the beginning of a walk – whatever you’d like to do! There are lots of pick-up/drop-off points available to choose from.
